"No human being is so bad as to be beyond redemption. ~Mahatma Gandhi
If, only life were as simple as tacos with all its' redeeming qualities how free we would be!
I am typically not a taco eater outer if, that makes sense? When I look for the best Mexican street fare quality food I think of chimichangas, rice, beans, homemade tortillas, guacamole and of course margaritas.
I have been meaning to drop by this spot since opening day but, you know life sometimes gets in the way of having fun. Not today, we're having tacos that are going to redeem us out of all our troubles!
I literally felt freed while devouring my naked burrito filled with lime cilantro chicken, sour cream and cheese. To cover it up a little I decided to dress it Fundido style with a jalapeño cream cheese sauce. I would've got it chimichanga style had I know it was free. Darn it, next time.
I took one bite out of a rolled taco and tasted the freshness of the corn tortilla. The side of black beans and spanish rice were tasty and filling. The freshly cooked crisp tortilla chips were an added complimentary side to my already full belly. I managed to squeeze some in while dipping them into all natural fresh tasting clean crisp green and red chili salsas. I did have one or two of their jalapeños from the free bar to go along with my meal.
I washed it all down with freshly squeezed aguas frescas lime juice.
The staff were all super friendly! Much to my
delight I was able to meet the owner Tina and she is such a joy. I'm enthusiastic about their success and hope to see this gem flourish here in Goodyear."
"We had a Groupon, so decided to try it. I'm so glade we did. Clearly it's a family owned and operated. The service was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and had a pleasant atmosphere. It was full when we got there. Most Mexican restaurants treat beans and rice, as an afterthought, however, this place did it right. The rice was moist, tender, and flavorful. They take pride in their food and service. I would recommend this place for good Mexican food that is not too heavy or greasy."
